Undergraduates - Mechanical Engineering
Among the most diverse of the engineering fields, mechanical engineering affects all aspects of our lives and embraces many areas of specialization. Mechanical engineers have been involved in improvements to and technological advances in engines, power plants, satellites, automobiles, airplanes, household appliances, machine tools, prosthetic devices, surgical equipment, and heating and refrigeration systems, among other things. Our undergraduate program, which is consistently ranked among the top ten in the nation, emphasizes hands-on learning in state-of-the-art instructional laboratories.
