Midwest Mechanics Seminar

The Midwest Mechanics Seminar is a cooperative venture of 10 institutions of higher education throughout the Midwest: the Illinois Institute of Technology, Iowa State University, Michigan State University, Northwestern University, Purdue University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Michigan, the University of Minnesota, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The seminar was created in 1957 by Professor Phil Hodge of the Illinois Institute of Technology as a cost-effective way of bringing top-quality speakers to IIT and other institutions in the Midwest.
